Map of Bear Valley is the most personal work in the entire Beartropolis series — a self-portrait by RD Riccoboni, reimagined as an aerial fantasy map where the artist himself becomes the landscape. Every road, ridge, and valley is a piece of his story. The figure is woven into the map rather than having it overlaid — warm golds, greens, and yellows build the body itself, with blue, red, and green city grid lines criss-crossing through every inch. The background is a deep wash of blues, teals, and reds, giving the whole painting a jewel-like depth. He looks to the side, slightly upward — thoughtful, searching. The valley breathes through him.
