Original Paintings

Welcome to the original paintings collection of RD Riccoboni — an internationally collected, award-winning California artist whose work is held in museum and institutional collections across the United States.

Each painting here is a one-of-a-kind original — hand signed by the artist and shipped directly from his historic studio at the Arts Center in Spanish Village, Balboa Park, San Diego. These are not prints. These are the real thing.

Riccoboni’s originals span his most celebrated series — from the bold, joyful Flower Bear portraits to the sultry Sailor Portrait Series, the irreverent Beefcake paintings, and intimate figurative works that celebrate LGBTQ+ life, masculinity, and the beauty of the human form. Each piece tells a story. Each one is painted with the full force of Riccoboni’s signature style — whether in his painterly impressionist mode, his pop-inflected surrealism, or his playful naïve approach.

Collecting an original Riccoboni is an investment in a living artist at the height of his powers — and a work of art that will stop every guest in their tracks.

All originals ship free within the USA. Most ship within five business days. Custom commissions are also available — contact the studio to inquire.

“I’m a storyteller in paint. Every painting tells a story. Thank you for becoming part of mine.”
