Knight in the Delphinium - Surreal Flower Bear Style signed painting print by Riccoboni

Some of my Flower Bears come to life in my science-fiction story Knights of the Vermillion Rose. In Knight in the Delphinium, I painted Delphinius, one of the stowaways aboard the spaceship. This portrait brings my floral art and storytelling together, offering a glimpse of a character who shares that secret journey. What secrets is Delphinius bringing on the journey with him?

I painted him with tousled dark hair, a full beard, and a direct gaze. Blue delphiniums surround his bare torso, with stems and blossoms crossing in front of his figure. Warm gold and peach tones stand against deep blue and violet, giving the portrait a contrast between the man and the flowers.

I love bringing the characters from my novel into paintings that have a life of their own. With this signed print, you can welcome a piece of that world into your home, whether you know his story or feel drawn to his portrait. It’s a piece for readers of my novel, collectors of queer and fantasy art, and anyone who enjoys my Flower Bear series.
