Tangerine Boiler Room Sailor - Beefcake Style Original Painting

In Tangerine Boiler Room, I painted my pop art subject of the shirtless sailor in a white cap and blue briefs against a blaze of orange and yellow. His direct gaze and strong stance bring confidence and heat to this intimate portrait. I used ink, acrylic, and oil paint to build the figure in my naïve style.

I created this painting as a companion to my Tangerine Sailor portrait. It belongs to my Sailor Portrait Series, a group of nine original paintings, each with a different bold color, character, and mood. Collect one or build a group of your favorites.

I love the warmth and personality that my naïve style brings to these sailor portraits. This piece offers a strong focal point for a room and a close encounter with the character I’ve brought to life in paint.
