Knights Of The Vermillion Rose graphic novel. An Adult Science Fiction Fairy Tale Picture book By Riccoboni PAPERBACK

I created this fairy tale for you, the one we queer folks never had. I hope you have a great adventure!

I invite you into the funny, wacky, and romantic world of Knights of the Vermillion Rose, my science-fiction fairy tale of the gay romantic-comedy kind. I wrote and illustrated this adult picture book and graphic novella, bringing together 70 original illustrations from my 2025 San Diego art gallery show of the same name.

I’m offering a signed limited-edition collector’s copy, available here or in person at my art studio. This first edition is a run of 100 copies, each signed by me.

The Story

My story begins when Gerry and his devoted dog, Prosecco, wander into a summer night glowing with mystery. They discover a secret written in the stars for over 129,000 years.

The Intergalactic Knights of the Vermillion Rose, legendary same-sex warrior couples from the Lemirian galaxy, have arrived on Earth in human form. Their mission: rescue the Lost Knight, reclaim the fabled Stone Tablet of Finality, and stop the shadowy Contrastadors before our world falls into darkness.

But I haven’t made saving a planet as simple as wielding a sword. Disguised as ordinary men, my Knights must navigate San Diego’s art scene, eccentric neighbors, late-night drag shows, and the complexities of romance, both human and cosmic. Along the way, Gerry is drawn into a love story that transcends time, distance, and even death itself.

I blend science fiction, romantic comedy, and space-fantasy adventure with humor and a celebration of queer love. If you enjoy Good Omens, The Princess Bride, or Galaxy Quest, I’d love to introduce you to my own cast of characters and their world.

Come along for a story of love, destiny, and the possibility that the universe is cheering for you.
