From the Story
Knights of the Vermillion Rose, Jakaar and Bryalle, had arrived on Earth for their next assignment — meeting up with fellow intergalactic warriors at Flamingo Ridge, the posh mid-century boutique hotel in San Diego.
After their long journey from the Andromeda galaxy, finding an apartment, settling in, and cleaning up for each other, they decided on a relaxing date night at an Earth diner — the Love Shack on University Avenue. A casual night out. Both wearing top hats, naturally.
"They have this thing called chocolate cake that Merlin says we've gotta try."
A challenging assignment awaited them — as humanity was awakening to the reality that they weren't alone in the universe, the Knights had to lie low, work behind the scenes, and keep the collective brotherhood complete. Slightly larger in stature, with a certain glow about them and virtually indestructible — time was on their side. But not for the humanoids.
